About PANSY and the Meteor Extension

PANSY, the Program of the Antarctic Syowa MST/IS Radar, is an atmospheric radar at Syowa Station in Antarctica. The official PANSY member page lists Kaoru Sato as Project Leader and Principal Investigator, with core members Masaki Tsutsumi, Toru Sato, Takuji Nakamura, Akinori Saito, Yoshihiro Tomikawa, Koji Nishimura, Masashi Kohma, Taishi Hashimoto, Hisao Yamagishi, Takashi Yamanouchi, Takehiko Aso, and Masaki Ejiri.

The PANSY Meteor Extension is a project to augment the capabilities of PANSY to provide continuous meteor head echo observations. The extension was developed in collaboration with the PANSY team, IAP Kuhlungsborn, and UiT The Arctic University of Norway. Co-Investigators for the meteor extension are Juha Vierinen, Jorge L. Chau, Nico Pfeffer, Devin Huyghebaert, and Daniel Kastinen.
